Which metal, and how much
Copper is worth roughly 20 times more than iron per kg. An item's price mostly comes down to how much copper, brass or aluminium is inside it.

How clean it is
Clean, separated metal gets the higher rate. Copper with brass joints, paint or plastic still attached is priced as "mixed", and we show you why.

That week's market
Metal prices move with national and international markets. That's why our rates page shows the date it was last updated.
Clearing a flat, office or godown?
Send photos of everything together. We'll price each item and each metal separately, so one heavy iron item doesn't hide the value of the copper next to it.
